It appears as if ReCore may have been delayed until 16th December 2016, having being dated for release on the 16th September at E3 last week. Amazon.co.uk have distributed emails to customers who pre-ordered ReCore – informing them of the updated release date – in addition to updating the release date on their website (Pictures Below).
However, this delay has not been confirmed, with sites including the US and European Amazon stores, and Microsoft’s own store pages, still displaying the release date as 16th September. As such we are unable to confirm if ReCore has been delayed, or if this is a mistake on the part of Amazon UK. It is worth noting that both dates are Fridays. Considering that it is practically unheard of for a game to release on any day other than a Tuesday or a Friday, we would have debunked Amazon UK’s update if the 16th December was not a Friday or a Tuesday. That being said, while the 16th December being a Friday adds some degree of legitimacy to Amazon UK’s claims, it seems strange that ReCore would be delayed by such a significant time period, given the release date was announced only last week, and even stranger that no other store fronts have updated their respective release dates. Even so, Amazon has been a reliable source of leaks in the past, particularly Amazon France, which is the reason we decided to run this news story. We will of course update once we hear confirmation one way or the other.
